Thank you for being involved. Please share your ideas for trail development in Victoria through this survey and mapping tool.
The views of the community are very important in the planning for proposed mountain bike facilities. If you are a mountain bike club member, keen mountain biker, parent/guardian of a mountain biker, or new to the sport we appreciate you taking the time to complete this survey.
The project aims to provide a strategic framework for the development and support for mountain biking throughout Victoria. This is the first stage of consultation offering you the opportunity to contribute to the planning and improvement of current and future mountain bike networks around the state.
How to fill out the survey and use the mapping tool
Step 1 - Fill out Rider Survey and Family Rider Survey
Firstly, please tell us about your riding habits and preferences via the survey on the left hand side of the screen. Next, if you ride with your family or wish to answer questions on behalf of your family, please also fill out the Family Rider Survey on the left hand side of the screen.
Step 2 - Click on existing MTB parks on the map and answer questions about places you have been (Orange Markers)
When you're done with the survey, please assist us by adding information about trail networks to the map. For existing trail networks, please click on the orange marker. A survey will pop up asking about your experience at these trails.
Step 3 - Place additional existing MTB parks on the map if there is no orange marker (Blue Markers)
If you have an additional existing trail network to add, please add a blue marker to the map and tell us what facilities and trails are there.
You can do this by dragging and dropping markers from the top panel directly into the map and filling out a short questionnaire. You will need to fill out your email, but you only need to do this once by selecting 'remember me'.
Step 4 - Place ideas for potential MTB parks on the map (Pink Markers)
When you have put in the information on existing trails, please also add markers where you see an opportunity for a new network or MTB facility. These markers are pink.
Thanks for your contribution to the Victorian Mountain Bike Strategy!
